56th Edition of Vinitaly
Wineability technology enters the winemaking tradition at the 56th Edition of Vinitaly 2024.
Vinitaly is the event that has succeeded more than any other, over the years, in marking the evolution of the national and international wine system, contributing to making wine one of the most dynamic and engaging realities of the primary sector. To continue this evolution, but always respecting the most ancient wine traditions, Wineability offers cutting-edge technological solutions.
Let’s take a look at some of the key stages of Vinitaly together.
It all began on 22 and 23 September 1967 when the Italian Wine Days were held in the Palazzo della Gran Guardia. [Click here for the complete History of Vinitaly] Within two years, 130 wineries had already decided to take part in the event and exhibit their products, placing their trust in a project that would be unmatched in the world. But Vinitaly is not just wine and soon began to expand its offering, charting the path to becoming the event we all know today. In 1971, in fact, the merchandise section dedicated to machinery, equipment and products for winemaking was inaugurated and later particular importance was also given to the world of oil. In 1996, the Vinitaly Design International Packaging Competition was born – the first of a long series of initiatives and competitions – with the aim of rewarding and stimulating the efforts of companies and designers to continually improve their image. Thanks to the evolution that Vinitaly has made from 1967 to today, more and more exhibitors have felt the desire to associate themselves with the brand and present their products and, after the great success in Italy, it has managed to reach full maturity in forty years, conquering countries on the other side of the world in the name of a common passion: wine! The format, in fact, was exported to India, China, Japan, Russia and the United States of America giving the opportunity to numerous exhibitors and visitors to come into contact with each other at different times of the year, from March to November.
Enolitech is born and the IT sector enters the wine world.
Over the years, the event has also winked at evolution and innovation by founding, in 2009, Enolitech – the international exhibition dedicated to the best high-tech and digital solutions applied to viticulture, olive growing and beverage. Enolitech introduces the concept of anti-counterfeiting in order to protect the industrial and intellectual property of the products presented, tackling product counterfeiting or unfair competition. This 56th edition will be of crucial importance for all wine producers from the point of view of innovation and technology, due to the new regulatory obligations. In fact, Regulation (EU) 2021/2117 requires the nutritional values and ingredients of the product to be reported on the bottle, also through digital solutions such as a Qr Code and an NFC tag. We at SAIT S.r.l. will be present in the Enolitech space this year to present Wineability, our product that allows you to comply with regulatory obligations… but not only! With Wineability, in fact, it is possible to manage the logistics of the winery, organizing the packaging of the products, the warehouse map and the shipments. Thanks to its potential, it is able to provide numerous advantages to the producers such as the possibility of tracing the entire path taken by the bottle, hindering the gray markets and building the brand value chain link by link. The consumer himself can enjoy numerous benefits. Thanks to Wineability, in fact, he can access multimedia content created ad hoc, can be informed about events organized by the winery and take advantage of any discounts… all with the aim, for the winery, of building customer loyalty. You can find us at the 56th edition of Vinitaly at Pavilion “F” Enolitech, Stand “G6” of Verona Fiere, from 14 to 17 April 2024.
